How long is the rental agreement? 

Rental agreements are month to month and automatically renew on the 1st day of each calendar month.

Do I get discount if I rent for a longer period?

Customers with long-term needs may prepay on a yearly basis (12 months) and get a 13th month free. Jolly Storage may occasionally run specials so ask us for details.

Do you offer military, police, and fire fighter discounts?

Jolly Storage is proud to offer discounts for those who are active military, police officers, or fire fighters. So to say thanks, we are happy to provide a 10% discount just show us your ID.

How secure are my stored items?

Only you have access to your unit. Nobody else then you has a key to your unit. Jolly Storage buildings are electronically secured by a state of the art video surveillance system, electronic gates with coded access, security lighting throughout the site, a perimeter fence, and security is completed by your personal lock.

What size units does Jolly storage have?

In general, we offer anything from a 5 foot by 5 foot (8 feet high) all the way up to the large 10 foot by 20 foot storage space big enough for a whole house.

What hours is the office open?

The business office is usually closed until you call us this helps keep the rental rates low. But to open it, simply call 409-927-2200. We are happy to meet you there. Please allow 30 to 45 minutes for travel.

Is my price guaranteed for as long as I rent?

Jolly Storage works hard to provide a value to our customers through competitive pricing and by maintaining clean, safe, and secure facilities with the best customer service in the self-storage industry. Please keep in mind that your original monthly rate is not guaranteed for the life of your rental with Jolly Storage. From time to time, we may find it necessary to make adjustments to our customers’ rental rates in order to keep up with the rising costs associated with providing top-notch service and a clean, secure facility.

How often can I visit my unit?

As long as your account is current, you may visit your storage unit as many times as you like.

When can I get into the facility to access my possessions?

Units can be accessed 24/7/365.

How do I pay rent?

Cash, check or credit card. You can sign up for automatic credit card payment, this will allow you to pay your rent on time without a trip to the facility.

When is rent due?

Rent is due the 1st of each month and will be considered late on the 5th of each month (a late fee will be imposed on the 6th of the month). Please also note that until your account is paid in full, access to your unit may be denied, your gate code access will be removed, and your unit will be over-locked.

Do you have climate-controlled units?

Yes. Climate-controlled units are designed to maintain a set temperature range.

Do you rent space month-to-month or do I have to sign a lease?

Our rental contracts are month-to-month agreements – no long-term lease is required.

Do I need to give you notice when I move out?

YES. Jolly Storage requests 2-weeks notice of intent to move out.

If I rent a storage unit from you, can my spouse, kids or friend have access, too?

When you rent from Jolly Storage you can allow access for other people you specify (or restrict access only to yourself).

Do you require insurance on my stored goods?

You are responsible for the things you are storing at Jolly Storage and insurance for your stored belongings is highly recommended. You may be covered under an insurance policy you already have. Check with your home insurance agent to be sure.

What kind of documentation is required to rent a storage unit?

One of the following forms of identification; state issued identification card, drivers license, passport, or military ID.

Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, biological contaminants, or perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.
